Each state directorate of the NCC will have its respective chapter, know as the "NCC Alumni association - (Name of state directorate) chapter." for example, the chapter for Andhra Pradesh and Telangana would be called the "NCC alumni association - Andhra Pradesh and Telangana directorate chapter."
Each state directorate chapter will have a working committee responsible for routine functioning. the working committee will consist of the following members:

Alumni members for the governing council, executive committee, and state directorate working committee will be nominated with the consent of the ministry of defence (MoD), considering their achievements and contributions to society and the nation during their NCC period and post - NCC period. the selection process will follow a consistent approach at both the central and state levels and will be finalized after ratification by the governing council or executive committee.
Life members of the NCCAA who are eligible for nomination to the Governing Council, Executive Committee, or State Working Committees may be invited to join as co-opted members for a duration of two years to assist in furthering the aims and objectives of NCCAA.
The nominated member should be an Indian citizen under 58 years of age.
The nominated member should be a life member of the NCC Alumni Association.
At least one of the nominated members should preferably be a woman.
The nominated member should possess special knowledge or practical experience in areas such as Armed Forces, Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), Government Service, Science & Technology, Sports, Fine Arts, Social Service, or the Industries and Services sector.
The term for nominated members is two years and is non-extendable.
Names of potential nominated members (including reserves) will be recommended by the Executive Committee after obtaining their consent. These names will then be submitted for approval to the Governing Council. Once consent is received, a formal invitation will be extended to join the Governing Council, Executive Committee, or State Working Committee.
